No tricks, no surprises. Here's what I do with your information, and the basics of how working together works. If anything here is unclear, just ask.

What I collect

Only what I need to do the work and stay in touch:

How I use it

To deliver the thing you asked for, to talk with you about it, and to make the work better. That's the whole list.

What I never do

Who helps me run things

A few trusted services do specific jobs, and only ever see what they need to do them: Stripe (payments), Resend (sending email), Google (fit-call scheduling), Cloudflare (hosting and basic analytics), and Notion (my private pipeline). Each is a well-known provider with its own privacy practices.

Your choices

You can ask me to show you, correct, or delete the information I hold about you, any time. Email [email protected] and I'll take care of it. I keep what I need to deliver your work and a reasonable record of it, and let go of the rest on request.

A note on age

Common Cause is a service for business owners and isn't directed at anyone under 18.

Terms

The basics

Common Cause Works LLC offers the services described on this site — The Riff, The Soundcheck, and the larger engagements — at the prices listed. When you buy one, you're agreeing to these terms.

Paying, and what you get

Payments run through Stripe. Each product's page spells out what's included and what it costs. The short version of the money:

What this is, and isn't

I give you independent, plainspoken guidance on where AI fits your business. I do my honest best, but I can't guarantee specific results — what you do with the advice, and how it lands, depends on a lot that's outside my hands. This is business guidance, not legal, financial, tax, or other professional advice; for those, talk to someone licensed in that field. To the extent the law allows, my liability for any engagement is limited to what you paid for it.

Where we stand

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina. I may update this page as the business grows; the date at the top always tells you the current version.

This page is written in good-faith, plain language to tell you honestly how things work. It's a summary, not legal advice, and it doesn't replace a written engagement agreement where one applies. Questions about anything here? Email [email protected] and you'll get a real answer from a real person.
